We named this watch after a great beach town a few hours drive from Bangkok. Hua Hin is a great place to relax, unwind and enjoy the amazing gulf of Thailand. If you keep your eyes on the weather, you can even score some surf.
We love to stay in Hua Hin as a waypoint along the coast on our mission to harvest vintage wooden boats. In order to maintain the balance on the coastline, we work with local friends and colleagues to help remove industrial build up along this delicate coastline.
Once we carefully take these boats apart, we select the coolest painted wood parts and then precision cut them into parts for this watch. The dial is made from a 0.5mm thin veneer. The center link is custom-built from ironwood beams taken from our boats - strong and well seasoned from years of hard work on the sea.
We get the bronze for this watch from marine propellors. Carefully recast into solid blocks and then cnc cut to exact specifications, the case, links, crown and other small parts are made from this custom alloy that whispers the story of a life on the sea as it slowly ages to a perfect patina.
